Classic Traveller: WWII Vehicles in Spaaace...

Back in the early 2000's there was a game called Rocketship Empires 1936 by Edward Kann. I was obsessed with this game, though (of course) I never got to play it. I ended up combining it with an actual WWII thing I was doing based around the real-life SOE / Jedburgh missions in France and called my creation Galaxy War 1939: Space Operations Executive. I only managed three releases for one -- one was a full book: Legacy of the Oros. I've updated one of them, the Last Transmission, to the Classic 2d6/Cepheus ruleset.

Anyway, now I'm obsessed with Traveller. I'm running a Classic Traveller (and vehicles!) scenario where the characters are stranded on a TL6 balkanized world. Two of the city-states are in a "warm" war that will likely lead to a full-blown world-war. In the scenario, the travellers are heading up to the war-torn area to find some lost cargo and possibly a crashed far trader. They have a janky g-carrier, which is all but invulnerable to the lower-tech weapons of these two city-states.

The Skua fighter is a TL6 prop plane for the Classic Traveller system using Mauloni's vehicle combat system.

Anyway... I wanted to have a vehicle combat system and I really keyed on Mauloni's Vehicles: Design and Operation (I don't know where you can find it now, or if I can distribute it). I jettisoned a lot of the crunchy stuff, but really like the combat system.

Simultaneously, I was playing with vehicle cards similar in design to aircraft and vehicle recognition cards we used to use in the Army. So, here's the first fruit of that effort. I present the Skua light fighter, two variations, and the g-carrier. The backside of the g-carrier card has the basic vehicle combat rules. The Skua isn't going to put a dent in a g-carrier, but the characters have to come out of the vehicle eventually!
